The Challenge

Globe Primary School is an Oustanding school based in the London borough of Tower Hamlets. Globe Primary School serves a varied and diverse community from many cultural backgrounds. Boys and girls attend the school from the age of three, when they start nursery, to the age of eleven after which they transfer to a secondary school.

The school used multiple first aid books in each classroom so when parents had a query about an accident in school they would have to search for the specific book in various locations around the school. It made it impossible to analyse data and SLT were not always kept up-to-date about the more serious incidents that occurred in school.

The Solution

We purchased Medical Tracker in June 2017 as we always wanted a more effective way of managing first aid records and individual health care plans.

Now when parents have a query about an accident in school the information is easily accessible on Medical Tracker. It has also increased confidentiality, data protection as there are less paper records in classrooms.

Medical Tracker also helped Globe Primary School with analysing data to reduce serious incidents and highlight any safeguarding concerns.

It is very easy to maintain once started and it has significantly improved our record keeping, staff accessibility to medical information as well as accident reports. The analysis tool is very useful - it can name the top 10 children in school who have the most accidents!

Implementing Medical Tracker

Within the first few days of implementing Medical Tracker Integris G2 was synced and staff were trained.

Set up was very easy, we could take the pupil photos off the pupil management system and lots of support was given if needed from the Medical Tracker Team.

Everything medical related is in one place that can be accessed from anywhere. All our paper care plans from the school nursing service have been scanned and are now attached to each child's profile.

The Outcomes

By adopting Medical Tracker Globe Primary School has been able to:

  • Go paperless
  • Build up a complete history of medical conditions and accidents that are easily accessible.
  • Notify parents or carers of incidents instantly.
  • Automatically notify their Head Teacher when serious incidents occur; even if Marie not in school.

We were so impressed we have now purchased Medical Tracker for our partner school - Bangabandhu Primary School.
